Live Streaming
Live streaming allows family and friends to virtually attend your event and view the occasion in real time. It also allows you to relive the memory of the day without having to wait for your video or photos to be edited, with the live stream recording available to view after the event.
The need for live streaming had increased with the Covid19 pandemic, however this is not a new offering for Family Video Australia. Even without travel restrictions, families can face challenges of organising travel for international guest or even elderly family members.
Wedding Highlight Video
We had the absolute pleasure of live streaming this wedding ceremony for those unable to attend. The couple also booked us to record the reception, which was editing into the live stream recording afterwards.
How does live streaming work?
Live streaming means that a video is shared across the internet and is available to view in real time, normally with only a 5 - 10 second delay. There is no need to record and upload the video to be viewed at a later time.
Our videographer's are equiped to film from any location, be it indoors or outdoors. Our setup is discreet and includes multiple cameras, microphones and a dual internet sim connectivity, ensuring we get the best internet connection for a successful live stream.
A private webpage for your live stream is created for you to share with your loved ones. This page can also be personalised with your own text or photo and is available to view for 1 to 6 months (varies from package). At the completion of the live stream, the video will reload to the webpage straight away to be viewed again.
Why consider live streaming
There are a number of reasons why you may consider live streaming a special occasion such as a wedding, community event or religious ceremony.
Time capsule of the day
Live streaming has the benefit of being able to view the event as it takes place, but also allows family and friends to look back on the video. For an event such as a wedding, the bride and groom can be left in a whirlwind from the day. The live stream recording is an opportunity for them to reflect back on the days events and the vows shared. It is also a way to share the event with future generations or those that may not be old enough to remember.
Sharing in the day
With technology at our finger tips there is no reason for anyone to miss out on your next event. Live streaming allows those unable to attend to still feel part of the day. Be it an elderly family or friends that may find it too difficult to travel, a conflicting work commitment or international travel costs, the live stream allows them to view online via a smart phone, tablet or computer.
An intimate event
You may elect to have an intimate ceremony with only your immediate family and friends. By live streaming the event, you can still share the special day with those not in attendance.
Live Stream issues and backups
To achieve a successful live stream, a strong internet connection is required. This is why our videographers do not rely on venue WiFi and are equipped with their own dual internet connection.
In the unlikely event that the internet connection is weak, our videographer is able to upload a recording to be available to view the same day. All online viewers are kept up to date with this process via our live WebChat on the private page.
Should an online viewer experience technical difficulties, our office team can offer support via phone, email and the live WebChat on the webpage. The webpage also includes instructions on how to have a good online experience.

A huge thank you to Michelle and her team for capturing such a special day for our family. We are so pleased we decided to have our service filmed. It is a really nice thing to sit back and reflect on the video and take in all that I overlooked on the day, things I cannot remember but do appreciate, and I owe that to Michelle for capturing each moment so accurately.
